Richard Kefford enjoyed writing essays at school before leaving to go to sea with the Royal Navy. He followed this with a engineering career in industry. He has studied geology with the Open University since 2008.
He started writing again after retiring in 2010 and discovering some of his school books in the attic. This reminded him how much he enjoyed writing.
He is currently taking a creative writing course with the Open University and working with the Publisher, Café Three Zero.
He has three children who have now left home.
Richard lives in Somerset with his wife and enjoys wood turning, hill walking, practical geology and writing.
